Minister Andrews to meet heads of aid agencies


The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr David Andrews, T.D., will meet with representatives of Irish non-Governmental Organisations active in relieving the famine in Sudan prior to his departure for that country. At this meeting Concern will be represented by Howard Dalzell, GOAL by John O’Shea and Trocaire by Eamonn Meehan.

The meeting will be held at 10 am on Wednesday 12 August at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Iveagh House. The media are invited to be present for the start of the meeting.

Mr Andrews will depart for Sudan later on 12 August; during his visit he will meet with aid workers in Southern Sudan and with the Sudanese Government in Khartoum.
