The duty officer is available outside office hours for emergencies relating to Irish citizens only. Queries concerning visas to visit Ireland will not be dealt with by the duty officer.

The Department of Foreign Affairs can be contacted from 09.15 to 5.30pm GMT at +353 1 4082000; outside those hours a Dublin-based Duty Officer is also contactable through that number.

The duty officers in Dublin and Hanoi liaise where necessary.
