2000 NGO Forum

The 3rd NGO Forum took place on 1 July 2000 in Royal Hospital Kilmainham. The main themes of the Forum were Racism in Ireland, a rights-based approach for refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants, the UN Human Rights Commission, human rights of persons with disabilities and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.  The Forum was opened by Minister of State Liz O’Donnell, T.D. Speakers included Mr Niall Crowley, Chief Executive Officer, Equality Authority, Mr Peter O’Mahoney, Irish Refugee Council, Professor Brice Dickson, Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, Mr Kensika Monshengwo, National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism.Top
